Tonight, ABBTA won one of five grants at Onkaparinga Council’s Inspire Us Pitchfest. On the team were: Artist (and pitcher) Paloma Concierta, Anton Hart, Peta Cowen-Goh and ABBTA Secretary Martin Howells. Artist Eileen Lubiana provided support at the ABBTA table. The ten teams who pitched are listed below.

The other winning teams were: Aldinga Beach Children’s Centre, Spirit of Woman, Say G’Day Inc. and Our Coast Our Mission. It’s probably fair to say that Aldinga Bay dominated at this Pitchfest due to Lauren Jew who was on two of the teams and ABBTA, who overcame serious technical difficulties to win.

ABBTA’s presence at this event followed directly from a committee meeting earlier in the year at which it was suggested (by Chair Hazel Wainwright and Secretary Martin Howells) to apply for grants on behalf of Paloma Concierta who is bringing Art to Aldinga Central Shopping Centre. The ABBTA Committee got behind this effort and tonight’s victory was the result.
